Diagnostic criteria for migraine according to the International Classification of Headache Disorders [58]

Diagnostic criteria
A. At least five attacks fulfilling criteria B–D
B. Headache attacks lasting 4–72 h (not treated)
C. Headache has at least two out of the four characteristics below:
 Unilateral location
 Pulsating quality
 Moderate or severe pain intensity
 Aggravation by or causing avoidance of routine physical activity
D. During headache at least one of the following:
 Nausea and/or vomiting
 Photophobia and phonophobia
E. Not better accounted for by another diagnosis
