Mean observed (colored circles) and modeled (solid line) photochemical loss of aCDOM(300) for each station, normalized to the initial aCDOM(300) value for scaling purposes. Marker and line color indicates the mean salinity observed in the upper 1 m of the water column at each station. Photochemical loss of CDOM was modeled with a single exponential for stations 10, 12 and 24, and a double-exponential for all other stations (Table S1). Peak absolute loss of absorption occurred between 290 and 305 nm for all stations and time points.
