Impact of prior homogeneous and heterogeneous priming on the infection responsive genes. In the Serratia challenged cohorts, the infection induced genes (>2-fold) were downregulated by the Enterobacter priming, while the infection repressed genes (<2-fold) were either increased or further decreased. In the Enterobacter challenged cohorts, the Enterobacter infection induced genes were downregulated by the Serratia priming, however, most of infection repressed genes were upregulated by the Serratia priming. * marks genes that were affected by both challenges. The gene ID and annotation in the downregulated panel were provided in Supplementary Table 5. The heatmaps represent genes with significant difference between the NP and homogeneous and heterogeneous priming (q-value < 0.05).
