Note: Time pressure variables are measured in terms of 10 minutes. All regressions include controls for patient demographics (age dummies, race/ethnicity, sex, language, insurance type, number of reasons for visit, whether the patient had seen the PCP within the past year), past utilization (dummy variables measuring the number of inpatient visits, the number of outpatient visits, the number of ED visits, and the number of specialist visits in the six months prior to the visit), interactions between demographics and past utilization, and a set of fixed effects for provider, month by year pairs, week of month, day of week, holidays, hour of day in which the visit is scheduled, and scheduled visit length. Standard errors clustered at the provider level are in parentheses.
