Vasorelaxant effects of acetylcholine (A,C) and sodium nitroprusside (B,D) in the mesenteric G3 arteries (A,B) and aorta (C,D) from normotensive control (WKY) and URB597-treated (WKY + URB) rats or hypertensive (SHR) and URB597-treated (SHR + URB) rats. URB597 at 1 mg/kg or its vehicle was injected intraperitoneally every 12 h for 14 days. Vasodilatory responses are shown as percentages of the reference response of the isometric contraction induced by phenylephrine (Phe).
