HFD-induced atherosclerosis was ameliorated by dietary linseed oil. Mice were fed with either control diet with soybean oil, control diet with linseed oil, HFD with soybean oil or HFD with linseed oil for 2 months, and their body weight changes (a) and pulsatility and resistive indexes in common carotid artery (b) were examined. Data are combined from 3 independent experiments. Each point represents data from individual mice; (a) n = 12–14/group, (b) n = 8–11/group. Statistical significance of differences was evaluated by means of 1-way ANOVA; **p < 0.01; ***p < 0.001; ****p < 0.0001; N.S. not significant.
