The Alberta Provincial Project for Outcome Assessment in Coronary Heart Disease (APPROACH) clinical registry was linked to the Sunrise Clinical Manager (SCM) electronic medical record (EMR) using patient details. This linked database (SCM-APPROACH) was subsequently linked to administrative databases (Discharge Abstract Database [DAD]/National Ambulatory Care Reporting System [NACRS]) using catheterization episodes.
