Identification of photoageing‐modified biomarker candidates in human skin by filtering significant regional differences detected using the MPLF webtool. MPLF was applied to dermal and epidermal data sets to identify 50 aa‐sized protein regions with significant differences in peptide yield between forearm and buttock samples. Once identified, significantly different regions were tested for intragroup variation (Tables S3 and S4). Regions which exhibited significant intragroup variation and proteins which were only present in one group (forearm or buttock) were excluded to leave only those which were photoageing‐specific. The remaining regions and their respective proteins were considered as indicators of structural modification, and therefore as new biomarker candidates of photoageing
