H661 (LCLC), H82 (SCLC), and Calu-1 (SQCC) cells were infected with miR-31–encoded retrovirus (miR-31) or empty retrovirus (vector) control. Cells were injected subcutaneously into the flanks of immunocompromised mice. Mice were evaluated for spontaneous metastases at the time of necropsy.
