siRNAs that induce significant female-specific lethality. Significant female-specific larval mortality resulted from soaking treatments with the indicated siRNAs (* = p < 0.05, ** = p < 0.01, and *** = p < 0.001, Chi-square). No significant differences (p > 0.05, Chi-square) were observed in male survival following treatments with these siRNAs, and a control siRNA had no significant impact (p > 0.05, Chi-square) on survival of males or females.
