Bacteria counting in the lungs of mice after intranasally infected with 5 × 10⁵ CFU A. baumannii within 24 h. Data presented as mean ± SD. In murine lung infection model, a 2-log₁₀ CFU kill could be considered a good bactericidal effect. A 3.2 log₁₀CFU bacterial reduction was observed in lungs 12 h after infection compared with that at 2 h in this study, which could be considered as a significant and effective decrease.
