This study examines the value and role of oncogene-focussed patient groups in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Additionally, it evaluates results from a membership survey.
The survey outcomes are assessed to determine whether the membership of these groups is representative of NSCLC patients according to established data.
Data confirm that membership is representative of this patient population and also highlight the value of oncogene-focussed groups for patients.
The study provides new insights on the experience of living with an oncogene-driven lung cancer, the importance of specialised support for patients and the potential for alliances which will deliver meaningful outcomes for patients.
