Table 5.

The mean value of the surface area (in μm2) of the residual biomaterial (BmA) of nano-hydroxyapatite/chitosan (nHAp/CS) scaffold was reduced from 2nd (3545719.83 μm2) to 4th week (1114298.18 μm2) (P = 0.000 < < 0.001), as well as from 2nd (3545719.83 μm2) to 8th week (1907642.54 μm2) (P = 0.001). The apparent increase in BmA from the 4th (1114298.18 μm2) to 8th week (1907642.54 μm2) was not statistically significant (P = 0.204)
