Western blots of whole cell extracts from C. albicans serotype A (VW32, BWP17 and bmt6Δ) and serotype B (NIH B-792) strains probed with MAbs B6.1 and EB-CA1. The insert shows a serotype A strain (BWP17) and serotype B strain (NIHB) probed with MAb 5B2 showing the shift in rMW previously characterized structurally, and resulting from shortening of β-Man chain to 3 mannose residues in serotype B strains³⁴.
