Comparison of COX-mediated metabolites in astrocytes, cultivated in normal (5.5 mM) and high (25 mM) glucose medium. Primary rat astrocytes were cultivated in normal (5.5 mM) or high (25 mM) glucose medium and then stimulated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS, 100 ng/mL) for 4 h. Concentrations of oxylipins in supernatants were measured using ultra-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS). Pie plots showing the distribution of COX-mediated metabolites, released from (A) naive or (B) LPS-stimulated astrocytes.
