Standard reaction condition: 2 (0.4 mmol), bromoform (0.8 mmol, 2 equiv.), CrCl3(thf)3 (0.02 mmol, 5 mol%), TMEDA (5 mol%), and 1a (0.8 mmol, 2 equiv.) in 1,2-dimethoxyethane (DME, 4 mL) at 50 °C for 24 hours.
