“Misophonia?”, “Hearing Issues?”, “Tinnitus?”, “Hyperacusis?”, and “Hyperacusis Impact?” refer to questions 5, 1, 2, 3, and 4, respectively. Subjects were labeled as misophonics if they had a MisoQuest score above (or equal to) 61, and if they self-reported misophonia (bold). Subjects were labeled as controls if they had a MisoQuest score below 61, if they answered “no” or “unknown” to questions 1, 2, 3, and 5, and if they answered “not at all” to question 4 (italics).
