Note that our language model substitutes “epidermal” for “epidural”, since “epidural” is out of vocabulary. The mean characters per minute for this block was 86.47 and the character error rates were 4.18% (real-time output) and 1.22% (language model). Sentence prompts were taken from the BNC corpus according to a random selection process (see Supplementary Methods for details).
