Metal complexes can inhibit cell cycle progression at different stages which vary between different cell lines, doses, and exposure times. The cell cycle checkpoints (pink) determine progression to the next stage, and cell cycle regulators include cyclins (green) and CDKs (cyclin-dependent kinases, blue).
