ECC goals
Engage and empower SAR early career members (< 7 years from graduating fellowship) through networking events, mentorship, and opportunities for involvement in the society, education, and research
Bridge collaborations with other societies and other SAR committees
Promote outreach to residents and fellows interested in abdominal imaging
RFS goals
Provide a mechanism for input and involvement by residents and fellows in the educational, research, and interdisciplinary collaboration functions of the SAR
Promote interest among members-in-training in the subspecialty of abdominal radiology
Increase SAR membership with a broader membership base
Continue SAR membership as trainees graduate to attending positions
Establish involvement in organized medicine that will likely continue later in trainee careers
