MITR operative procedure. (a) AC joint dislocation. (b) Closed reduction and fixation of AC joint dislocation with a Kirschner wire. (c) A 2.0-mm Kirschner wire is introduced through the clavicle and coracoid. (d) A 4.0-mm drill bit is drilled into the base of the coracoid. (e) A nitinol suture passing wire is advanced down through the cannulated drill bit. (f) The drill bit is removed, and the two white traction sutures are inserted into the bone tunnels through the wire loop of the nitinol suture passing wire.
