The schematic diagram of regulatory of SelS in ROS-dependent NET formation induced by Se-deficient arteritis. Se deficiency induces chemokine expression, recruitment of neutrophils, and extrusion of NET in the aortic tissue of broilers, inducing the release of inflammatory factors from PAECs and promoting arteritis progression. On the other hand, Se deficiency induces the secretion of proinflammatory cytokines from PAECs by decreasing the expression of SelS and inhibiting the PPAR pathway, inducing NET formation in a ROS-dependent manner, and ultimately promoting arteritis.
