Brain areas with significant differences in current density between patients with weak (VAS score < 30) and strong (VAS score ≥ 30) subjective pain, and between controls and those with strong subjective pain. Occipital, posterior-inferior temporal, primary somatosensory cortex, secondary somatosensory cortex, precuneus, insula and anterior cingulate areas in each hemisphere were included (t-test, q < 0.02).
