Possible Reasons for Agitation

• Overstimulation (e.g., excess noise, people; presence of unfamiliar items) or under-stimulation (e.g., lack of anything of interest to see)
• Safety problems (e.g., fall risk)
• Lack of activity and structure (e.g., limited activities to match interests, capabilities)
• Lack of established routines (e.g., frequent changes in time, location, sequence of daily activities)
