Calcein release from calcein-loaded liposomes following pulsed LFUS sonication. Calcein is self-quenched inside the liposomes showing low initial fluorescence level (A). The pulsed LFUS results in calcein release from the liposomes leading to the increase in calcein fluorescence (B). The addition of Tx-100 results in the maximum calcein release (C).
