Representative photomicrographs with H&E staining are shown. (A) The rumen papillae in the CON group were intact and showed no disruption. (B) In the HC treatment, the stratum corneum of the rumen papillae was severely damaged. (C) The rumen papillae showed a slight damage in the HCT treatment. (D) Rumen papillae injury score.
