Fig. 2. MTD of SQ3370vs. conventional Dox HCl in mice. C57BL/6 mice (n = 4–5 per group) were treated with one dose of Dox HCl at 20 mg kg−1 and compared to mice treated with 5 daily doses of SQP33 at 76.6 mg per kg per dose Dox eq. (cumulative 383 mg kg−1 Dox eq.), in the presence or absence of SQL70 biopolymer. Mice were weighed daily for up to 14 days once treatment started. A mean body weight loss ≥10% per group indicated the MTD. Data are mean ± SEM of percent change in body weights and significance was established by unpaired t-test with Welch's correction compared to the Dox HCl control group.
