Cytomegalovirus (CMV) is reactivated in HIV-1-infected ex-vivo human lymphoid tissues.
Donor-matched lymphoid tissue blocks were either treated with ritonavir (RTV), infected with HIV-1, or infected with HIV-1 and treated with RTV or not treated (control) and cultured for 12 days.
