The bifurcation of reaction times was specific to when the memory network was the direct cause of errors on AX and BX trials (top and middle left panels). Overall changes in reaction times were primarily caused by the perception network (middle and bottom left panels). This was due to the perception network becoming noisy (right and left of the middle and bottom left panels, respectively) or beginning to fixate (left and right of the middle and bottom left panels, respectively).
