The amount explained by predictor type was estimated as the difference between the R2 of the full model minus the R2 of the model without those variables. Plant community effect was estimated independently dropping biomass (BM) and biodiversity (BD) variables, and also dropping biomass and biodiversity variables together (BM & BD).
