Distribution of sample types within the pediatric data cohort. Samples were grouped into one of six major categories (top left). Each major category was subsequently divided into multiple subcategories that contained detailed information about the tumor diagnosis, with the exception of gonadal tumors. Sarcomas contained 16 subtypes (top right), extracranial embryonal tumors contained 3 subtypes (middle left), brain tumors contained 9 subtypes (middle right), heme malignancies contained 7 subtypes (bottom left), and carcinomas contained 13 subtypes (bottom right). Gonadal tumors were composed entirely of this tumor type (not shown).
