Different-shaped nanoparticles (NPs) for use as genetic cargo for genome editing. The shape and size can be engineered to bind specific biomolecules to produce the most stable bioconjugate complex. NPs can also be used in force-free delivery, i.e., using magnetic properties and electric field usage for penetration (Jat et al., 2020).
