Somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT) affects mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) amount and mitochondrial gene expression. Significant differences between group means are indicated by asterisks (t-test; ^∗P < 0.05, ^∗∗P < 0.01, ^∗∗∗P < 0.001). The number of fetuses analyzed for each parameter is given inside bars.
