(A) Noise exposure and intra-tympanic injection of dexamethasone and insulin like growth factor 1 (IGF1) were performed on the same day; namely, post injection day (PID) 0. Auditory brainstem response (ABR) measurement, micro CT, and endoscopic examination of the tympanic membrane were performed every 4 to 15 days for 2 months. (B) Dexamethasone and IGF1 were used as drugs in groups 1 and 2. Saline and cross-linked HAs were the vehicles in group 1 group 2 respectively.
