p-values were adjusted using the false discovery rate method (Benjamini and Hochberg) to yield Q-values. The Q-value was calculated from the AA and total hemoglobin concentrations. The BCAAs were evaluated together and for leucine, isoleucine, and valine individually (according to Figure 1, Figure 2, Figure 3, Figure 4 and Figure 5).
