Peak systolic energy (A) and average $E_{\mathrm{L}}^{\text{′}}$ (B) were significantly increased within the ascending aorta in subjects with TOF. Similarly, peak systolic $E_{\mathrm{L}}^{\text{′}}$ was further elevated along the aortic arch—descending aortic tract (C) with no difference in the average $E_{\mathrm{L}}^{\text{′}}$ in the same region (D). There was also increase in peak systolic and average $E_{\mathrm{L}}^{\text{′}}$ along the entire thoracic aorta (E) and (F), respectively. TOF: tetralogy of Fallot.
