(A) 12Z cells were transfected with either siRNA to c-Myc or a non-targeting (NT, negative control) siRNA and protein levels of c-Myc and RPLP1 were determined at 24 and 48 h post-transfection by western blot analysis. (B) RPLP1 expression levels were normalized to β-actin and are expressed as a fold change from levels detected in NT-siRNA transfected cells. Data are displayed as the mean + SEM and are representative of four separate experiments (N = 4) using different cell passages for each experiment. * indicates statistical significance (P < 0.001) between NT and c-Myc siRNA transfected cells at each time point, by unpaired t tests.
