The resident microglial population increases in proportion and total number in the ipsilateral thalamus at PSD 14. At PSD 14, brains were harvested for cell cytometry. Single cell suspensions were obtained from cortex and thalamus. Cells were stained with CD45 antibody and CD11b antibody to measure the number and percentage of microglia in thalamus.
