Percent of respondents with a claims-identified acute myocardial infarction (AMI) who also reported a heart attack by health, mental status, and documented clinical treatment. Fair/poor health and memory are self-rated by respondents. 1+ADL (activities of daily living) indicates that the respondent reported difficulty with at least 1 of the following tasks: bathing, eating, or dressing. Moderate to severe cognitive impairment indicates a score of 0 to 7 in a 35-point summary cognitive score. Clinical treatment assessed from all MedPAR claims dated since the previous interview (for those interviewed in 2 consecutive waves) or in the previous 730 days. *P<0.05; **P<0.01; ***P<0.001.
