There are 44 articles that do not seem to engage explicitly with any level of institutional analysis in our dataset. For instance, some research looks at the effect of firm-level social performance on the firm’s degree of internationalization. Some conceptual articles, such as literature reviews and special issue introductions, are not amenable to this classification either.
