Effects of regular (control group) and n-3 polyunsaturated acid (PUFA)-enriched hen egg (n-3 PUFA group) consumption on the serum concentrations of pro-inflammatory leukotriene B4 (B) and prostaglandin E2 (D); inflammation resolving leukotriene B5 (A), prostaglandin E3 (C) and resolvin E (E) lipid mediators originating from n-6 (arachidonic acid; AA) and n-3 (eicosapentaenoic acid; EPA) fatty acids.
