Plasmin causes a rapid wound retraction of keratinocytes. Scratch wounds were produced as in Figure 1, and cells were then incubated with 7 μg/ml of hPm and analyzed by live imaging. Images were obtained every 2.5 min for 2 h for the duration of the imaging experiment. Time-lapsed images of the experiment are shown here (see Supplementary Video 2). Dashed lines show the approximate width of the wound at the start and end of the experiment.
