The influence of pectins on GUS activity in E. coli LH82 (A) and K-12C600 lysates (B). Pectin solution were mixed with 0.5 U of E. coli GUS and incubated for 18 h. The means of three experiments ± SD are presented (* p < 0.05). Statistical significance was checked between the studied probes and controls (no pectin) assumed to be 100%.
