5-HT3 Antagonist Inhibition of ASP+ Transepithelial Transport in OCT2/MATE1-Transfected MDCK Cells. Cells were incubated with ASP+ (25 μM) in basolateral media and/or 5-HT3 antagonists (0.5–20 μM) or 50 μM cimetidine in apical and basolateral media for 120 min. Apical fluorescence was quantified between 40–120 min. Data are expressed as mean ± SE (n = 3). Two-way ANOVA analyses evaluated the influence of time and inhibitor on ASP+ transport.
