Caspase cascade was affected by resveratrol: (A) Cell death-induced VSV infection was observed by PI uptake assay. The intercalating PI indicators inside nuclei were excited and visualized by EVOS fluorescence microscope. (B) The caspase-3 and -7 activities of Vero cells were measured following VSV infections (MOI = 1) at 24 hpi by Caspase-Glo 3/7 assay system. All experiments were performed in triplicate, and data were plotted as mean ± SEM: TC, tissue control; VC, viral control; RLU, relative light unit.
