Based on study screening requirements, all participants were between 18 and 50 years; none smoked; all had unremarkable medical histories, screening laboratory values, vital signs, and electrocardiograms; all tested negative for alcohol and drugs of abuse; none used recent prescription, nonprescription, or alternative medications other than contraceptives or acetaminophen; none had a history of Helicobacter pylori infection or ulcerative disease; none were pregnant; and none had signs, symptoms, or diagnostic testing results suggestive of COVID-19.
