The GLUT3-expression in patients with C. albicans BSI was preliminarily confirmed in monocytes. PBMCs were isolated from patients (n = 9) and healthy controls (n = 10), and then CD3-CD14+GLUT3+ monocytes were separated by flow cytometer and compared using the non-parametric Mann-Whitney test (P < 0.0001).
