Effects of Euglena gracilis extract in microglia cell viability. Microglia were cultured for 24 h in 10% serum-containing medium, which was replaced with serum-free medium before pre-treatment with EAE (1–100 μg/mL) in the absence (white bars) or presence of LPS (gray bars) for 16 h. At the end of incubation, cell viability was determined by SRB assay. Results are expressed as percentage of cell viability relative to control cells. Data are presented as means ± SD (n = 3 in triplicate) and there is no significant difference in cell viability. Dashed line indicates vehicle-treated cells
