The effects of compound 24 (or vehicle) pre-treatment at −30 min on the abdominal temperature (top) and locomotor activity (bottom) of mice treated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) or saline at time zero (doses indicated). Pre-treatment with compound 24 significantly exaggerates the hypothermic response to LPS, while it does not further reduce the already near-zero level of locomotor activity in LPS-treated mice. The number of mice was 8 (n = 8) in each group. Data are presented as means ± SD.
