Neuroprotective effect of taurine (TAU, 30-100 mg/kg by gavage; vehicle saline) on cell apoptosis by the number of cleaved caspase-3 positive cells in the regions: (a) molecular layer, (b) Purkinje cell layer, (c) granular layer, (d) arbor vitae, and (e) medullary center in cerebellum of rats exposed to chronic-recurrent neuroinflammation induced by the LPS toxin (250 μg/kg, intraperitoneally; vehicle saline).
